MMS: Happy Friday to all! Spirit week at MMS has been a tremendous success! Staff and students have shown incredible spirit and creativity this week! The week culminates with a staff student volleyball game and a duct taping, to the wall, of the principal. MHS football hosts the Aztec Tigers tonight at 6 pm. National History Day is holding an Enchilada Dinner at MHS from 4 to 5:45. Tomorrow, Saturday morning is the Homecoming Parade. Come and join in the homecoming festivities! Final info, next week on Wednesday Oct. 9 MESD will hold Family Engagement Day at each site. Come and participate in activities the MMS teachers have created. Students will not be in school that day but we would love to see as many families as we can! Breakfast and Lunch will be served from 8 to 12. Adult meals are $4. October marks National Principals Month! Throughout this month, we invite the entire MESD community to celebrate and express gratitude for our principals' hard work and dedication. Our principals do a fabulous job building relationships with students and providing guidance and support. They each work diligently to ensure that every student has the chance to succeed and instill the values of hard work, integrity, and resilience.

MMS: Good morning everyone! Sharing some MMS info for the next week. Progress reports and NM test scores are being sent home today with students. We had 48 parent teachers conferences last week! This is an excellent number but we would love to see even more in February! Next Monday, Sept. 23 is Picture Day at MMS, forms were sent with students today. We intend on having an excellent week at MMS and we hope you do as well!
Last week's Colt of the Week was Elizabeth Williams! Elizabeth exemplifies leadership and we are incredibly thankful for her presence at MMS! Keep up the great work Elizabeth

Join the Pinto Football Team for flag football!
MHS football coaches and players will work with students in Kindergarten - 6th grade on fundamental skills and then play games on teams according to age and ability.
Sessions are Thursday nights for the next four weeks from 6:00 pm- 7:00 pm at the MHS Football field. Students will receive a t-shirt at the last session. $15.00 per child
MMS: Good afternoon families of MMS! Tomorrow, 8/20 starts our beginning of year (BOY) testing. This will give us a baseline for where our students are at in Math and Language Arts. Please remind students to charge their chromebooks and try their best on these tests! Students who give strong effort are going to be placed into a drawing for an incentive field trip in September. MMS: This message is intended for those with students who would like to participate in a fall sport. Those who have not yet had a sports physical completed, will have an opportunity to have one completed tomorrow 08/13 at Moriarty High School. In order to be eligible for this you must have the entire athletics physical packet filled out and ready to go by tomorrow. Students who were interested were given a packet today. MMS: Happy Friday to families of MMS. We had a really strong start to the year at MMS this week! A new band director has been hired and is working through the requisite paperwork with HR. The new director is experienced and will hopefully start sometime next week! Thank you for your patience while we worked through this and fortunately were were able to come to a quick resolution! MMS: Dear Moriarty School Families with a student enrolled in band,
Due to an unforeseen circumstance the Moriarty Middle School Band Teacher has resigned from his teaching position. MMS and the MESD Administration are making efforts to find a certified teacher to fill this position. We understand that this will cause an interruption in the Band Program and instruction. Your student will have a long-term substitute in class until further notice.

MMS: Good morning families of MMS. This message is for the families who will have a student in 7th grade this school year. MESD has purchased brand new chromebooks for 7th graders but they will not arrive until the first week of school. Please still feel free to come Thursday 7/25 and Friday 7/26 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm for schedule pickup but just be aware that 7th graders will not receive chromebooks yet! We can't wait to see everyone tomorrow and Friday!

MMS: Just a reminder about 05/29/2024 MMS Awards Ceremonies. 8th graders need to be to school on time. We will walk them over to the PAC to do a practice run through the ceremony. That ceremony will start at 10 am. The 6th and 7th grade Awards Ceremony will start at 12:35 and will be held in the MMS gym. Thanks and we can't wait to see everyone! Lastly, there will be no early release Wednesday tomorrow. We will have a full day of school. You will be able to sign your students out following either of the ceremonies just get with our secretary and registrar, thank you!
