MMS: Good morning everyone! Just a reminder that we are off all of next week for Thanksgiving Break. MMS will be holding its Thanksgiving Lunch this week on Thursday 11/22. If your student has our first lunch, A Lunch, that is from 11:11 to 11:41. If your student has our second lunch, B Lunch, that is from 12:04 to 12:34. MMS: Good morning everyone! We just got word that the sports physicals we sent communication about yesterday have been pushed back to Friday 11/15 from 9-12. So there's more time to get physical packets turned in so that students can get their sports physicals for winter sports. Winter sports offered are basketball, grades 6-8 for both boys and girls as well as wrestling for 8th grade boys and girls through MHS. Stop by the office or visit the MESD website for the requisite paperwork. Thanks and have a great day!
MMS: Good afternoon. If your student is wanting to play a winter sport, basketball or wrestling (at MHS, 8th graders only) and is needing a physical completed, there will be a clinic tomorrow at MHS. We sent physical packets home with students who were interested today. Please return the packet filled out and we will escort the students to MHS so that they can get their physical completed. You're also welcome to stop by the office and fill out a packet. The physicals will be from 9 am to 12 pm tomorrow 11/12/2024. Thanks!
MMS: Good morning and Happy Veterans Day to everyone! This is a reminder that we have our Veterans Breakfast this morning 11/11, at MMS from 7:45 to 9:00. We are at the midway point of Quarter 2 so progress report cards will go out on Wednesday, please look for those! Basketball tryouts continue after last week's disruption due to the storm. We are excited to be back in the building and see our students! Our gratitude goes well beyond the single event that is Veterans Day. We are thankful every day for all Veterans who have given so much of themselves to preserve our freedoms! If you know a veteran, send them to MMS. We would be happy to serve them hot food and coffee. MMS: Good afternoon everyone, I hope this message finds you warm! This is to let everyone know that MMS will be hosting a breakfast for Veterans on Monday 11/11/2024. Weather permitting we will be cooking eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns for breakfast burritos on the MMS patio. There will be coffee, donuts and pastries in the cafeteria. If you know a Veteran, please let them know and invite them to join us at MMS or any of the MESD Veterans events. MMS Veterans breakfast will be from 7:45 am to 9:00 am. MMS: Good afternoon. Due to the storm lingering, MMS will be in a Remote Day tomorrow 11/8. We will attempt to follow the same schedule as today. Families, we understand that there have been issues preventing students from connecting to Google Meets. Staff are dealing with power outages as well. Staff will host Google Meets tomorrow if they're able to. If your students are able to log in, awesome! It represents a great opportunity to catch up on anything missing. MMS: Good morning! Just a couple of things about the week. First, NASA Club is canceled this afternoon, 11/04. Second, MESD will be closed tomorrow, 11/5 for Election Day. Basketball tryouts are underway this week. Boys in the AM Girls in the PM, please ensure you have your physical and all paperwork completed! Lastly, MMS will be hosting a Veteran's Breakfast on 11/11/2024 from 7:45 AM to 9:00 AM. We will have stuff for burritos, donuts and coffee. We are asking that your student invite a veteran as their guest and we will also ask that they introduce their guest during our breakfast ceremony. Further information will come out later this week! MMS: Good afternoon everyone. This is a reminder that costumes are welcome but they must be school appropriate, no weapons and no masks! We will check eligibility for the Halloween Dance in the morning, no F's on Quarter 2 Grades and no behavior referrals (lunch detentions are ok). MMS: Good morning everyone! Thanks to all families that attended our Academic/Citizenship Awards assembly last week! Students did a great job of cleaning the areas around our school as part of the Fall City Cleanup! This week we have MMS football vs EMS on Wednesday at 6 pm. We have our Halloween Carnival/Dance on Thursday. Students must not have any Fs on their quarter 2 grades and no behavior referrals (ISS/OSS) to be eligible to attend! Lunch detentions don't count against students! MHS is holding a trick or treat event from 4 pm to 6 pm on Thursday 10/31. Have a great last week of October everyone!
MMS: Good morning and happy Friday to all! Just a reminder about today's (10/25) events at MMS. 12:30-2:20 this afternoon we will be participating in Moriarty's Fall City Cleanup. Staff and students will be cleaning along our portions of the school and just beyond! We're trying to be good stewards of keeping Moriarty clean! At 2:30 we will have an awards assembly in our gym for 100% Club and Colt of the Week (Citizenship Awards) Nominees. Please feel free to join us just check in at the office! MMS: Good morning! MMS will be holding an assembly on Friday 10/25 to honor our 100% Club students who had zero missing work in Quarter 1 and our students who received a nomination for outstanding citizenship known as The Colt of the Week. Slips are being sent home with those students who will be receiving these awards. Families please join us this Friday in the MMS gym at 2:30 if your student received one of these awards! In other information, MMS will be hosting a Halloween Dance Thursday Oct. 31st. To be eligible and attend the dance, students must not have any Fs on their Quarter 2 grades nor have any behavior referrals written (lunch detentions do not count as behavior referrals). MMS: Good morning and Happy Monday to everyone! MMS was scheduled to have Mira Dental provide services today but that has been postponed to Oct. 24 which allows more time for people to get their forms filled out and brought back to receive dental services! Later this week I will send out a Google Form seeking feedback from families on Family Engagement Day, please share your thoughts on Family Engagement Day with us. Look for that later this week. Thursday, Remote Learning Day. Attendance will be taken for the live morning sessions! We had amazing attendance for the last remote day, let's continue it! MMS attendance from the 22 to 23 school years improved by 7%! Let's keep that going and have even better attendance for this school year.
Friday, Fall Break! No school for staff or students
Friday is also the end of the Q1 grading period. Please remind students to get all of their work turned in! Report cards will go out next week!
